Still AMD ATHLON 3000 and asus via k8 boards Live!

Even though technology has creeped well above expectations , older amd athlon 3000+ and asus k8v mx kind of boards rock and provide more than desent enough performance in every aspects. From my personal experience i would say that its enough for direct x 9 gaming , multimedia usage, video editing , speed browsing and even compatible with vista if sufficient amount of ram and video card is provided. Even older nvidia fx 5200 cards can be a wonderwhe used with the above mentioned cpu and mobo. So for those who feel that such a system is older one , do not underestimate it since it provides more than satisfactory performance. There is o point in investing so much to get a in form high budjet system and not unleashing its full potential. Virtually no home users can utilize the full power of todays cpu's and boards since they simply do very basic work with their systems.No upgrade without knowing how much u are going to strain your system and how much power it can afford .It looks quite meaningfull, isn't it ?

Intel ATOM architecture, the new face of INTEL!

Intel is acting fast to release its all different ATOM processors previously codenamed Silverthrone.What Everyone needs now a days is a small electronics device which can enable users to browse internet when roaming , listen to songs , watch movies , play games at good speed and extremely portable , preferablly in a size of a mobile at very affordable cost.Asus and Apple already had extreme success with their EEE PC and IPHONE respectively.You might wonder what did INTEL do all the while? Intel answers this question now with this ATOM architecture ensuring reliability , low cost , extreme compatibility , unique mobile features and almost like latest desktop processors made out of 45nm poduction technology Built on Intel's 45nm manufacturing process, the Atom is Intel's smallest x86 microprocessor .
ATOM would be released under 5 model numbers this year ,Namely INTEL atom Z 500 .Z 510, Z520,Z530 and Z540 with clock speeds 800 ,1100,1330,1600,1860, with FSB's 400,400,533,533 and 533 respectively.They would be priced $45,$45,$65,$95,$160 respectively.Hence within next six months we could see lots of Mobile Internet Devices and other portable electronics systems equipped with this ATOM processor.The second generation of such ATOM processors would be MOORESTOWN update which would be an integrated solution to host ATOM processors in smart phones by next decade(2011).IT would present X86 architecture in every mobile device by late 2011.That would be extreme advancements in technology the world ever dreamed of!

Nehalem - the core 2 quad rival and Intels future!

"Nehalem" the forth coming Intel release is one of the most anticipated product ever in the history of computers and electrinics,IT industry.This is said to be the native quadcore based on core architecture.Demos of the chip were presented at Intel Developer Forum this week.Nehalem would be running none lesser than 3.2GHz which is the top clock speed the core architecture processors havent heard of.This speedstar would feature extra shared L3 cache , obey hyperthreading technolgy and virtual core technology!
We do know that higher clock speeds often lead to heat issues.But this chip would be made out of 45nm production process and hence we can anticipate lesser heat and hence lesser power consumption.This being the case we cannot predict all these features like virtual core,l3 cache shared and ht technology can overtake present generation processors like penryn, conroe, quadcore extreme and wolfdale.We need to bite our nails until INTEL discloses the real secrets and salient features of Nehalem core!Overall it is good time for INTEL and techy people who love hardware and technology.
